Hello: I saw a ad on Craigslist for this car. Here is the orginal ad. Please read and tell me what you think. Is this an ok deal or should I wait. Considering I bought a 2012 last month with 31k miles and all of those other features for 17900, I'd say absolutely not. Nexus 5 ?
Wow! Thank you all for your replies. I'm going to pass on this one. I'm paying cash and can absolutely afford to wait. Again thank you!!!
Mileage isn't the beginning and end of the story, but if I could get one with 30k for the same price or a bit more than one with 90k, you'd better believe I'm taking the lower mileage. Furthermore, that listing says its a 2000, and that sure doesn't look like that model year to me. This needs further investigation. Nexus 5 ?
Vernal only mentioned one car for sale. His experience is not yours, nor location, etc. One cannot rate any sale w/O iPad ?
The car is a 2010. It was a typo in the ad. It is in San Diego. I'm a little confused at this point. What I can say is that there is an extended warranty from Toyota up to 150 k miles. He said that he would take 14,500.00 for it if I like it. I honestly think I'm going to wait and get something with lower miles.
Mileage isnt everything, but if two cars are in similar conditions, lower mileage will get you, at the very least, more time under warranty. Nexus 5 ?
andy's right about location. you can't compare san diego to new york, unless you want to drive to new york, buy one and drive it home. that's why kbb makes you enter your zip code.
They're saying the price of cars varies by location, which is certainly true. However, I still think you can do way better than that one. Ultimately, it's up to you though, and we're all here to help. Nexus 5 ?
correct. prius is/was the most popular car in california. that drives the price up on used. what i may pay in a sluggish market is very different from a hot market. just like real estate and etc.
I'll say this though: I'm in New York and bought my car in New Jersey because they averaged about 1500 dollars more expensive here. Nexus 5 ?
