I know it's against the book but just thought I'd share that I changed my trans oil, and after dropping the pan, I reused the gasket. I know, risky. But it worked! It's been over a week and zero leakage! Don't think I'll be trying my luck again next time though And I reused the crush washers as well
I did the same with mine as I wanted to get it done and did not have the parts only the oil. That was in November 2013, no problems. TomK
Cork gaskets were used on gas caps for years and were constantly sealed and re-sealed with no problems.
