Humming noise after charge complete

    Happened to go down to garage to get something from pip about 3 hours after charge was complete and noticed loud hum coming from right rear wheel well area.

    We had not had any lightning storms, electrical interruptions or anything odd; house is on whole house surge protection, and 240v evse has been working fine.

    Hum disappeared when car was booted up in ev for a moment and then turned off. Hasn't come back on in an hour.

    Anyone experience anything similar?

    yes, mine too. something about the car checking things out, i forget exactly, but completely normal. freaked me out the first time i heard it.:eek:

    Yes, same here. It's weird and others have reported it. It's not related to temperature as far as I can tell on my end, but sounds like maybe the battery fan goes on once in a blue moon for other unclear reasons. Not sure what the system is doing.

    I put a bottle of tire fix in the storage area below trunk area a couple of days ago while the car was charging, I can hear fans going... This car like u guys said, constantly checking itself. When you walk by the car close enough with the key in your pocket, lights turn on inside the car... ;)

    It's not the battery cooling fan; it sounds more like an electric shaver or neon light ballast humming.

    I've got used to sounds like that, but recently I've heard faint echoes of 'daisy, daisy, give me your answer do' coming from the speakers even when the sound system is off. Is this normal...? :rolleyes:
