Hello folks, picked up a leftover 2013 Prius "two". Hoping to learn a lot on the forum. According to the Toyota web site the recall has not been done yet so I have to figure that out-call dealer and ask. I was gonna get some Weathertech mats, especially for the rear but I hadna extra rear mat for my C6 Corvette and it fits close enough I think it will work.

Hey Jimbo, that is true about pickups in the south, they sure love them around here. They like to make them rumble, that is not for me. But I do drive a quite V6 2006 Tundra single cab for my work. It's before the Tundra got big, hey if you can't reach in from the side and grab something out of the bed, what use is it. Back to the Prius, it depends on where you are in the south, how many Prius cars you see. The larger cities and university towns, they are all round. But I am sure there are places up north where there are lots of American made cars. Hey, we got our share of Prius haters down here. Love my Prius for off work and trips.
The Prius is replacing a 03 Silverado that I only used every now and then to haul a few items....most of that stuff I can get in the back of the Prius and I can borrow the in laws truck if needed. For the last three years I have used my 09 Corvette as a DD, now that I got this Prius I guess the Vette will be a weekend car... The Prius chugged right up Straight Mountain this morning at 55 MPH although it did seem like it was straining near the top. RPM's increased pretty significantly. I have not driven it enough to know otherwise so I assume thats normal.
Was this a very recent purchase, because: thought I read somewhere: dealerships were not allowed to sell new Prius without getting the recall done. Phone them and check?
Picked it up Saturday....as soon as I found this forum I noticed the Sticky about the recall...when I entered my VIN the first thing I saw was STOP SALE....the salesman is supposed to be verifying this morning that the recall has been done(I sent him text-he said he feels confident it has been done) already....we will see.
First week mods Recall completed by dealer, Windows tinted Cargo Mat from my Corvette(spare mat-fits perfectly) Made some covers for backs of rear seats. Seat cover on Driver seat installed iPhone ?
