i notice a lot of the charging stations are dealerships. do people actually charge at dealerships if it's not toyota? or any other dealership for that matter?
Some dealers welcome plug-in owners to just charge, some even welcome owners of different brands of plug-ins. The idea is that a courtesy charge may favorably dispose you to either buy from them, or recommend them to a friend who is interested in their brand. Cheap advertising.
There's one guy on the Volt site that goes to his local Toyota dealership to charge his Volt when he's in the area... he hasn't been arrested yet- so I guess it's OK?
