I'm afraid my Parking Brake needs fixing, but I'm afraid to ask how much it will cost. It hasn't done much for years (probably because I drove a few blocks a few times with it on)...but just not I drove for an hour on the freeway with it on. What might it cost to service it, please?
Do you have DIY ability? Pull off the back wheels and brake drums and have a look. Check how much shoe lining is left. There's probably an adjustment star wheel between the shoes at the top or bottom you can use to get the shoes closer to the drum. You want the shoes to just barely touch the drum with the brake off, with little resistance to rotation with the wheel on.
