I just bought a 2014 PiP base with the 195/65-15 wheels and Ecopia EP20 tires. Coming from a car with more power and much fatter tires the Prius felt skittish around corners - taking corners at the speeds I used to was downright unsettling. I've got 2,000 miles on my Prius now, and took a drove yesterday along the California coast. Something about the car felt more "settled", and it definitely handled much better on curvy roads. I've heard other people talking about tires breaking in, but have never experienced it with other cars. Is this real? Something specific to LRR tires?
The Prius is nice transportation. Not known for handling but you can step up to the Lexus CT . I put regular tires with an aggressive tread and it handles much better.. Don't drive enough to worry about less mpg.
I'm at 38/36 now, was at 38/38 when I bought it. Seems the consensus was to run the back tires 2 psi lighter.
