Bought a case of oil filters for $35.99 for 10 filters they were shipped from a Texas Toyota dealership. free shipping makes it $3.60 a piece. I can't get 6 filters for that price. The e-bay seller is trdparts4u. Highly reccomended!
Good head's up. I didn't want to be a bad ebay-er, so I had to ask him to be clear... So, I'll ask you too... Is Toyota #90915-YZZF2 (used to be 90915-YZZA2 or 90915-YZZE1) the right ones for a 2006 Prius? His auction only shows Prius 01-03. Second... Did you get them yet, or just order them? When they arrived, were they the 'real deal'? Thanks
I got them, YZZF2, I believe the YZZA2 was discontinued. The filters are toyota filters sent direct from the dealership parts department, I will use this way again. I also get my cabin air filters from a buisness in Canada, #9927TC $10 a piece. The guys name is Gary at 1-800-565-9743
Umm...I don't want to archive oil filters for the next 4-5 years. Anyone want to split these? 5 Each? PM me.
I too purchased my oil filters from this E-bay dealer. The filters are Genuine Toyota Oil Filters. As for the numbers: 90915-YZZF2 replaces 90915-YZZA2 replaces 90915-10003. I also recommend the FUMOTO valve (F-103). This valve replaces the plug and plug gasket. Makes oil changes so much easier and less messy (something I really appreciate). When I reach 5,000 miles, it goes on my 2006. Kathleen
I believe that in the land of Toyota OEM filters, the first number is the size and application. The second number is either a revision number or a manufacturer source number. That is just a postulation about the second number set, however so long as you are getting the 90915 filter, it will fit the Prius and is the correct filter in spite of the changes in the sub number.
Anybody know the difference between 90915-YZZF1 and 90915-YZZF2? According to jeromep, they both will fit the Prius (since both start with 90915). But from the ebay listing, the 90915-YZZF1 is for bigger cars like Highlander, Rav4, and others. You think the YZZF1 filiter is bigger (more filter material) but will fit the Pruis?
******** Best price is at: http://www.lubricationspecialist.com/ I have 600 more miles before I install mine.
Thanks for the info. I always like to be prepaired. I have about 4800k to go before my first oil change.
