Laser cut key cutter - Options?

I also wish to add a hearty endorsement for hOOktern.

I have had my Prius for less than a month and he has helped me to love my car even more than I did originally.

His helpfulness, quick responses and quiet and confident manner made me value my car and this community even more.

Plus, he made me two extra laser keys and gave me several wonderful suggestions about where to "hide" them.

I just bought a used 2010 Prius II, and the dealer gave me second key without programming. I think the physical key is also not matching the car. I see good reviews for H00ktern, can someone tell me what the process is to get the key lasercut and programmed? I am in West Chester, PA. Thanks!

 

Definitely avail yourself of H00ktern's services if you need to get some duplicate metal keys. He cut 2 perfectly working copies for my 2010, saved me $100's off what the dealer wanted. Took about a week, but the process was painless.

 

Locksmith will able to cut your "laser" key for $5 to $10 bucks. Blank mechanical key for all Toyota & Lexus selling on ebay shipped for $4 each and work well.
If you need programming to your car you'll need brand new fob selling from authorized toyota dealers for around $173 + shipping and TT with cheap knock off mangoose cable.
The Prius key fob even more expensive than my 2013 Lexus key fob and Prius fob look cheaper. Stop those dealers scam to get extra fob or key program.
Local Toyota & Lexus owners in Seattle area need program the key fob can pm me, I'll do it for free and take like 30 seconds.

Just wanted to add a sincere thank you to h00ktern for his services as well! I bought my 2010 Prius a month ago and was only given 1 key/fob. I utilized h00ktern's services because the dealership's prices for cutting and programming a new key/fob were outrageous!

My point is he is friendly, kind and reliable. He always responded to me quickly, and he was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him to anyone who might need him. He was also quick to just answer my questions, even if I never worked with him.

Good night, I know this is a thread from a long time ago but im not sure if you can answer this. I have a japanese right hand drive 2008 Prius touring, self parking, etc. i cant find one of my keys and its one of those, square ones (fob i think) that i push into a similar size opening then press start. Question is there anyone that can reprogram the fob and cut the new key in it? And what is required to do so?

well, got my key from Dave (h00ktern), & have to say it's P E R F E C T !
after having problems with his key-cutting machine, Dave pretty much bent over backwards to make sure the key I will receive is first quality. he spent quite some money (& for sure didn't make any profit here), but his number one goal was always to give me as a customer a top-of-the-line product.
I can only recommend him if neone here wants a spare key cut!
