Does the Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon because only 2010 Prius used uppercase Roman numerals for model designation) allow parking light operation like a normal car? I cannot for the life of me get the v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon because only 2010 Prius used uppercase Roman numerals for model designation) to keep the parking lights lit at night after I power I power down. This is a company car used for TV news gathering at night, and I need the ability to get out at a scene on a roadway and leave the car locked with the parking lights on.........can't figure this out. Thanks!
Is there a headlight knob on the left stalk on the steering wheel? My wife's Matrix has automatic headlights but still has the knob on the left stalk you can manually turn on the parking lights and headlights if need be.
It does, but it doesn't function when the car is not "on". Turn the car off wit the parking lights on and they turn off before I can get out of the car.
In that case you may have to use say the valet key to leave the car on and get out and lock it with the regular key and use that one to get back in - if that will work.
The Matrix is an old school car, electrical contacts and switches. The Prius is a drive by power by wire car........the controls are merely requests or suggestions to the central Toyota OS.
There are setup options for auto light control system. Check page 213 of the manual. That said, you probably should leave it in ready mode to protect the batt.
