Trying to find wiper blades for my c. Can not find ones to fit the arms all the ones I try are to small . I can not find a 28 and a 14 in the same brand is this a stealer item only.
Wiper size? | PriusChat I've also heard of people replacing just the rubber inserts, unless the blade itself is broken.
Hmmm... my dealership gives me wiper blades for as long as I own the car. Glad I don't have to worry about it.
Not sure... shortly after I bought the car, I got my Toyotacare packet . In the packet was a coupon. On the coupon it said free wipers for life (Valid only at Dealership where car was purchased).
I was able to find the front blades at Wally's. The only blade I couldn't find was the rear. Ended up going to the dealer expecting to get raped. The 8" insert for the rear wiper cost only $3.55.
Does the rear wiper blade fit the front right? They lookabout the same size. Might be nice to know if your front rips in a rain storm.
According to highly scientific measurements made using my forearm, the right blade is about twice as long as the rear one. So it wouldn't be big enough, but better than nothing. Since the left one is so huge, I don't see the right blade being necessary in most circumstances. ...unless you were talking about the adapter between blade and arm.
I'm going off a horrible memory here... but I think the rear blade is 5 inches and the right blade is 11. Edit: Just noticed a post a few back saying they bought an 8" from the dealership for the rear.
I bought wiper inserts from Toyota for summer.... and use Reflex all season wiper blades for winter (Canadian Tire) and were available in 28 & 14 inch sizes
I just had to go through entirely too much gyration in replacing the passenger side blade. O-M-G, it was way too much drama for me. There are at least 4 different 14" wiper blade configurations at W-Mart. None of them suited the fittings on the arm of the vehicle. I got two of them before I realized what type of blade configuration is required. The factory blade holder has a nib to hold in the blade on one end. The replacement blade must have that as well since there is a control stop on only one end of the blade holder. (the rear wiper blade holder has these stops on each end, so you can use any blade of the proper width as a replacement. I got one twice as long and cut a proper length from it.) I found a wiper blade that had the hole for the nib, but the blade wasn't wide enough. I hate going to the dealer, but bit the bullet and stopped on the way to lunch. $4-ish each. Insert only. Not all that much trouble in the end, but did I mention I hate going to the dealer? At least I got really good at futzing with those little stainless steel stiffener inserts on the blades. Go to the dealer first.
I bought Denso Designer blades from Rock Auto. No squeaks, shudders or streaks. The originals made it 55,000+
