    FIT/FINISH/INSTALL
Very high quality kit with everything included to install. Available in polished (shown) or black piping. The install was REALLY easy, just disconnecting a few things, removing the airbox, installing the intake. One nice feature is the bracket off the intake bolts to an available threaded hole on the valve cover. Rubber bushing and hardware are included.

    IMPRESSIONS
    1. This WILL make your engine LOUDER when under load (normal sound at idle). I really love the growl, but your Prius C will not be as quiet as it was.
    2. This really does make some power. I can feel it with my butt dyno, and the Injen's dyno chart claims +6 hp and +8 torque -- I realize the claim may be optimistic, but you really can feel some gain.

Any affect on fuel mileage? If so, what was the change?

I've had it on since January. I feel a bit of performance increase and my mpg is the same as it was before, no better really, no worse.

^ Same here, although I'm compelled to stomp on the gas more often, so I see a drop of about 2mpg's. I'll check it out over a whole tank before saying anything definitive. The difference in ability to pass, hold hills and get on the freeway is really nice.

yeah, I have my glasses -- good eye. :D

I do like to "gun it" from a stop every now and again but as much as I love to mod I bought it for mpg. seems to be exactly the same. So can't much complain.

Unfortunately, those hp/rpm curves are measured at the maximum hp at those rpm so naturaklly at reduced pressure drop acrss the filter you will see a gain inpower; but few of us drive at maimum power so the gains are minimal if any and sometimes we see a drop in acceleration times and mpg just as you have. Its waste of money; spend on more often filter change.
Often when the OEM fiter is new there is statistically no evidence of more power.. as for butt of the pants dynos, they are useless. Show us stopwatch measurements.

Try it yourself. Even with a stopwatch if the battery is low it will differ too. I can feel a noticeable improvement when passing (city speeds) and merging onto freeways.

I will give you that dyno charts for most hybrid systems becomes very tricky. And yes MAX hp/RPM is where this car really needs help. It's got plenty of torque to get up from a stop but to go from say 30 to 70mph it's slow as balls. This really does help.

Interesting. I wounder what another dyno would show from owners?

Seems like you guys that have it feel gains?

interesting... is this hard to install? does it void warranty? i'd love to get some more HP and torque. biggest frustration with the car is the lack of power on highway...

any drawbacks / consequences to installing this long term?

also, do any of you have sound clips of how the engine sounds post install? :)

also, are there any instructions on how to install? i'm all thumbs when it comes to car stuff!

Comes with directions, install is very easy and quite quick.

The power boost IMO is only under full throttle and felt most at say 25-60ish mph. on the freeway it seems to be about the same.

I'm mostly curious about the sound. I know it's subjective, but could someone describe the change a bit more? Is it just louder, or more mechanical, throaty, etc.?

Hollow throaty brapp. NOT a civic with open element hitting vtec but it kinda is one of the louder intake notes . Only hear it under damn near WOT.

I'll try and have a friend take some video of mine flooring it from a stop from outside the car and then a vid or two from inside the car. It's quite noticeable.

Thanks for the info. Was hoping it would be more helpful on freeway. I'm fine with it's performance at lower city speeds.

As am I. I am still less than satisfied with GETTING up to freeway speeds. This helps but it is what it is.As I just shot two mini vids id say freeway accel is improved I guess I just rarely floor it once I'm up to speed. I honestly drive pretty slow nowadays.Prius C in car acceleration.:
