I put one of these in my car. It's a neat gizmo and looks cool.

Mostly I was motivated to try something different because I find the joystick to be an unsatisfying man-machine interface. The buttons haven't done anything to satisfy the urge to grab on to something when I'm issuing the car commands.

I had one in my 2012 and got another one for the 2014 after the 2012 was totaled.

    I love these.

Thanks. I just vinyl wrapped the dash trim myself. I'm debating about wrapping the lower portion but I kinda like the 2 tone and I haven't had much time recently.

Sorry, but I don't get it. The whole point of the shift lever is so that you can use it without looking down. You just feel for the lever and move it left and down to engage drive. Simple. With the push-button shifter, you have to look down, find the buttons, and carefully press the correct one. It's totally form over function.

Also I think the lever works as nice hand-rest when fiddling with buttons on radio/climate control :)

Ummmmmmmm, I don't have to look down anymore than you would be looking down tapping the shift knob. Its only four buttons. . . come on, and its not like the buttons randomly moving to different spots.

I rest my hand on it and know what button or finger to push down without looking all the time.

A better design for a push button shifter would be placing the buttons in the lower class "h" pattern design with a slight "h" ridge dividing the buttons.

This would be much more intuitive and would save a pound off the mechanical shifter, and it would be much cheaper than the current one.

Here's my favorite "one finger" shift knob.

Flick your thumb to the NW compass position, to go into REVERSE.

Flick your index finger down to the SW compass position to go into DRIVE.

It takes skills to push the buttons without looking.

Originally Stage 10 sent me a RHD version. I would have to press B to drive and N to reverse. I emailed them, they sent a replacement and label for return shipping. Then they refunded the original shipping costs (9.99)because I had to press B in order to drive for a few days while I waited for the replacement. They are a really solid company.
