Does it look like my headlights are the right height? I adjusted them so that they are generally about half way up trunk of the car in front of me. Video:
The only way you can tell is to follow the proper procedure which is pretty darn simple. You can't adjust them by eye.
thanks for this - my Prius headlights are not lighting up the road and I suspect are set too high. I am confused by the H line. I that initially set from 1' away? and then checked at either 25' or 10' away ( your file states 4" above or below a line drawn 2" below the H line ). I'm not totally following this. in short, do I mark my H line from 1' away, then draw a line 2" below that, then attempt to adjust the beams accordingly ? ( eg: 4" above/below the line that is 2" below the H line if 25' away). sorry for being a bit thick but this is just not clear to me.
Basically, you want to make sure that the beams are not rising as they project outward. So if you measure the height of the center of the headlight lens, the cut-off line should be a few inches below that height at 20 feet. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
