They do and that's who I've been dealing with. I don't know where it is located. It's not within 60 miles as far as I can tell. There are some dealerships just over the state line that I've checked their inventory online and they have one like what I'm looking for but it has a different VIN than the one this other dealer would locate. Strange thing about the one over the state line is their price online went up today, it was something lower yesterday and is at MSRP today.
You've tried alternate zip codes on the "New Toyota Prius Inventory Search" page at toyota.com? Go as far as 125 mi N-E-S-W of your location.
I haven't done that yet. Interestingly enough she emailed me another vehicle, 2014 Prius Three, solar roof package and connectivity package (I don't need/want this and $49 for cables?! Ebay!!) that they can do $23,892 plus tax, tag and dealer fee. Tax is capped in SC at $300, tag I don't remember how much that is but it's less than $100 and dealer fee is high, $399. Is this a good price on that Prius? Oh and it's Blizzard Pearl so there's the fancy paint charge.
Researching paint protection films for the past couple months, I feel it is definitely valuable. I've determined 3M's Scotchgard and XPel Ultimate are the most widely regarded top 2 films. Being a DIY-er, I've some 6" size XPel shipping directly from XPel for putting my CA HOV stickers on, before considering putting a full larger layer on top to deter sticker theft.. XPel supposedly has the best self-healing properties, similar to self-healing cutting mats (youtubes of people rubbing it with steel wool, then running hot water over it, restoring smooth, slick surface). There were reports of Scotchgard suffering an effect referred to by those who've used film as "orange peel" (which sounds like yellowing/oranging and peeling up around the edges after some years--possibly from leaving out in the sun subjected to thermal cycling or just lack of care). Internets also says that issue has been addressed since and recent year Scotchgard film shouldn't suffer from this.
Good to know. I didn't want the films before but after some suggestions here and my experience with small asphault rocks hitting my Mustang on the hood and front bumper and the BP paint being more expensive to repair and hard to repair I think it'd be worth the investment. However, I will look into getting it done after market or maybe DIY. I'll be doing that with the leather interior.
IMO, that sounds like an excellent deal. Is that deal only good for today? I bought my 2013 TCH on the last day of the month and I got what I think is a killer deal on it (but it is a demo model with 8053 miles on it when I bought it). This too sounds like almost as good of a deal. Are they wanting you to buy it today?
I'm not sure entirely. She did call yesterday and said she wanted to earn my business this month as they're trying to meet sales goals. So I'm guessing it's through today. It's one they'd have to locate too, not in stock.
This is just my opinion but, I think it will be hard to find a deal like this until the end of next month.
That's what I'm thinking. We (husband and I) weren't planning on purchasing until next month end but this is what I want and it's a good price, what I'm comfortable paying. Four weeks won't make or break us and I'm afraid if I pass it up someone else will grab it and I'll be back at square one. Plus they're waiving the $500 locate fee for this month too, next month they might not.
Yeah, wishing I'd rejected just about everything and gotten more done after market or on my own. Pretty much everything, from the mats and locking nuts on up, could've been gotten aftermarket. Security stuff too. should have just gone all barebone.
I got it! So excited to be part of the Prius family! It will be there tomorrow. They couldn't remove the connectivity package because they "have already discounted the car below invoice so much yadda yadda" but it's just $49. If it was a few hundred I would have walked. I am glad I'm getting the solar panel and sunroof! Now to get leather and film applied on my own. I know for a fact this dealer sends their cars to a local shop for leather and it's not the kind that Toyota puts in at the port. They charge $1,800 for leather here. I called the shop that does it and got a quote of $1,100 for it which is what I'll do. Window tint they charge $300 and it's $150 at the same shop who does it for them and they did my Mustang. Now to sell the Mustang. iPhone ? I saw someone buying a car and walking away with Toyoguard, they got a bottle of fabric spray and wax in a box. I'm glad this one didn't have that on there. I think Toyoguard is a waste since I understand it's just wax and scotch guard nothing more. Is that right? iPhone ?
Thanks! I'm sure I will. I will post pictures when I get it tomorrow. I hate that with the dealer trade they will be driving it here so it will have about 100 miles maybe (45 minutes away) but that was the same with the Mustang, it had 289. iPhone ?
Haha. True. I didn't think that one through. She said it was about 45 min away, so maybe 30 miles. iPhone ?
lol. Ours had no discounts aside from the advertised ones (preplanned on their side). Also caved to their add-ons. The one major nicety with our purchase though was that the engine literally had 0 miles from our first test drive. (Of course, we also decided to break it in and have slowly been adhering to the break-in mile schedule (sort of.. ))
