I don't mind. Sometimes it works out that a car meal is required. I try to keep crumbs and sauces contained, and take the trash out when I'm done.
Starbucks Frap!!! Sadly - I saw the calorie count and had to stop. I need to lose weight - if I lost all the weight my doc wants me too - my MPG would go up noticeably. YMMV
Only occasionally, and I try to stick with non-messy items. Unfortunately I use my C to deliver with and just getting in and out during work hours has it full of cornmeal dust.
I'll allow it. We have an 8-year-old, and I knew strict rules against eating in my car wouldn't fly at some point. I do try to avoid it, but some mornings when running late I end up breakfast-ing in my car, and create a "crumb catcher" with my jacket so when I stand up/get out of the car later, crumbs fall outside & not inside. The Cheez-It crumbs from my kid in his car seat in the back? That's another story. I keep a roll of quarters in the car so I can vacuum as needed.
I don't mind as long as it's not a liquid mess. there's a car wash place that has free vacuums (as long as you go when they are not all being used)... so I don't care about crumbs and also as long as you take your trash out the car with you and don't leave/hide it in some dark crevice
I won't even bring pizza home in it... no more new car smell. (Weird though sometimes I'll make coffee at home and bring it to work on some random day.) I don't eat and drive anyway, although I've often brought DQ ice cream back to my car.
I eat lunch in my car at work. It's like my own little outdoor privacy pod It leaves crumbs, and I may have noticed a little grease stain, and my fiance melted a small piece of chocolate under his butt once. But oh well. The car's two years old and it can be cleaned. Although I want my car to stay nice, I do view it as more of a utilitarian object than an aesthetic one.
Absolutely I eat in my car. I don't do it a lot, and I'm careful when I do. However, as much as I love my car, I want to enjoy it--not put "her" on a pedestal and say "look how pretty she is." Okay, maybe I do that a little bit, but I still eat in my car.
4 kids and no eating in my new car. my kids are teenagers now and you would think they would be clean with what they eat, however my wife has a 12 camry and it looks like a slop house, left over food and mostly empty drink cups ect.. This makes me angry and I am still holding to no eating in my new car. I will allow water btls, and altoids things like that. other than that if we eat on the road we go inside the restraunt. this seems much better for me because I am always the one to drive and eat and thats not as nice as sitting down and getting a break while you have a meal.
