Anyone experience your Prius c after turn off and arms alarm 5 beep sound from engine bay sounded ? My C happen to have this beep sound that seems like warning sound occasionally happen but not everytimes , Sound definitely from engine area not from inside cabin warning sound , mid didn't display any message or error , Another prius c from my friend also have experience such situation , both of us can't recreate the situation to let service center check it or hear it , it only happen sometimes
Only time I have noticed that is when exiting with something not closed.......most often the sunroof. Seems like it also happens if you get in a hurry and open one of the doors before pushing the OFF button.
Well you answered your own question. The car is warning you that you are about to leave it unsecured.
We are sure all the windows is close , the beep sound not coming from inside cabin , it coming from the front bonnet the sound is like broken horn beep total 5 beep . Have try to recreate by not closing windows and doors it different
The car does not know about the windows......except the sun roof. It does know about the doors, including the hatch and maybe the hood too; I haven't tested that yet. I'm pretty sure that the "You left the car ON, dummy" alert does come from the outside horn.
Forget to mention Our Prius c here doesn't have sunroof .the car still able to lock everything is off . When I heard it I even reunlock the car and lock it back without opening any door and the beep sound didn't came back again
Both are standard from manufacturer . Not everytimes it will beep . For my case it been several months didn't hear it just yesterday night heard it again
what's strange, is that, if there is anything under the bonnet that can beep, you would think the dealer would know what it is without it actually having to make a sound.
