Unfortunately my side mirrors (mirror glass and the outer cover) were stolen last week and I replaced them with what I could find in the aftermarket instead of going for the brand new ones, just considering the cost. There is a visible exterior difference in 2009 - 2011 and 2012 onward models as the front lights/rear lights and the new face lifted design. What I need to know is where there is a difference in the mirror or the outer cover in these 2 versions ? Let me know if anyone knows there is a difference or not.
Interesting that there's a difference between 2009/10-2011 and 2012+ in other countries considering we have the same boring side mirrors sans signals since 2010 in the United States. If you had the signal mirrors, a good aftermarket source can be found on ebay. Is that what yours look like?
I don't think he was referring to signal mirrors. He was pointing out the differences in the tail lights and front bumper cover of the 2010-2011 vs the 2012+ and was wondering if any changes were made to the side mirrors. You answered his question, no change.
You're probably right. The OP gave me the impression that he noticed a difference upon replacing with aftermarket ones.
