Just wondering if a used PiP would qualify for the carpool sticker if it hasn't ever been issued one before? Say a 2012 or 2013 model?

    TIA!

Do it fast. The 40,000 stickers will probably be exhausted in the next week or two. An application mailed today might still get a sticker, but I'd put the chance at somewhere between 50% and 70%. Just my seat-of-the-pants guess, but I've been watching it closely.

If the sticker is critical to you, buy a new PiP from a dealer who has a pre-issued sticker for it. But again, those won't last long, especially once they actually run out and the news stories run.

Thanks, after crunching all the numbers, looking at all the incentives, rebates, etc. It just didn't make sense to spend 30k-32k for a 12-13 PiP. So I picked up a Pure white 2014 w/ carpool sticker from Dianne this evening (what a great and smooth transaction). It's replacing my Moonlight Glow 2012 Prius C4 (will be putting that up on Autotrader shortly). Can't wait to use it in the HOV this week (I'm actually now looking forward to the commute, since any time savings would be welcome!). Will post an intro thread soon once I get it prepped!

Congrats on your new ride, making the cut on the stickers, and having everything handled by Dianne. She does indeed make it smooth!

save your self some money and don't bother with autotrader. I did it with my 10' Prius and I probably got about 10 total inquiries in 2 months time and half of them were not even serious. You get far more inquiries from craigslist for free. And CL is where I sold my Prius.

Thanks, already posted, but have sold 20 cars in 10 years on AT, no problems (and even 4 from out of state buyers), but might consider CL too. It's just that CL buyers tend to want rock bottom prices for everything (I think it's the garage sale mentality, haha). But it's free so I'll probably cut and paste, thanks for the advice!
