Dealer Modification to C

    I took my C in last week for its 20K mile service and today while washing my car I noticed a yellow decal attached to the door frame. It states that do to a modification the max weight limit has been lowered by 8 pounds. I was never told or asked about this modification. Tried calling the dealer this evening, but service was closed. Will call again Monday, but if anyone knows what was done to me C please advise!

    Maybe they put double the oil in and were too lazy to drain it.

    I have the same sticker, been there since I bought the car.... My assumption is a safety/other change after the car was officially released that added that much weight....

    If they added floor mats at the port then they were supposed to also add the sticker. It's a Federal law! Perhaps Toyota is a little OCD after the billion dollar fine and how have the dealers correcting these over sites.

    There you go, my car had the factory floor mats/cargo mat on the window sticker...

    Decal is for the floor mats, they said it has always been there. :confused:

    I wonder if they factor the weight of the sticker, may need to lose lose more then a head!
