Nice that we finally have some quality viable choices isn't it?
Now if we could somehow prohibit rednecks from buying pickup trucks the world would truly be a better place!

or prohibit people from buying a prius who insist on camping out in the left lane going slow and give the rest of us normal prius drivers a bad name...

pickup trucks have their place in life...

Prius V was not on my list as I am primarily interested in EV driving which it doesn't do. I did cross shop the PIP (Plug In Prius), but the EV range was just too short to meet my needs (would only get me 1/2 way to work).

The v is for folks who need cargo room badly enough to take a 8 MPG hit from other Prius. Ford only positioned the C-Max (which is not a cargo carrier) against the v because they had doctored the EPA MPG, and it only beat the v. They really are not competitors.

Note- There are alternatives for cargo transport. Look at Out and About Green website. Carriers for all hybrids and small vehicles - tents for camping.
I personally just installed a rack and basket on my Prius. My 2 daughters and I just returned from skiing - full gear - putting it on the top of the car was absolutely amazing.

Indeed and they work well. Another benefit is they can keep dirty/sandy things outside the car.

Don't worry, I went and drove one today and took my tape measure.

I needed 41" as the minimum width on the rear hatch area. There is one spot as you enter the rear hatch were its a bit tight.... and 34" ceiling to floor just behind the driver seat... it fits...

    bought a 2013 SEL with 11K miles...

    very nice ride....

I loved my Prius but I could not use my Bluetooth my seat was uncomfortable and Toyota would not do a thing
Well after 4 Pruis I bought a Ford Cmax Energi I love the bluetooth the car is quiet the seats are more than comfortable . I love it
Gas mileage was a concern but I get 48.7 on my trips and Im on electric around town .
My electic bill is not showing a big hit so all is well
I just love my new Car .
Sorry Toyota but you did care enough to even get back to me and answer my questions
