Ursle-the tires are the same as on the 2010 .They are the standard tires that come from the dealer.195/65R15..I lease, so I don't screw around with tires .They did check the 12v said it was fine.Checked the oil level. The car IS driving better since the reset..why?? I don't know. I have to rely on the service at the dealership. and I know they read this forum...I am not mechanical...I ONLY come here for all the opinions
I just bought a 2012 Prius with 32K miles on it and so far i'm only getting about 36 mpg. Any tips? My boss told me it might be the bigger 17" rims that it has on it compared to his with 15" rims. I do a lot of short trips and live in Colorado Springs so quite a bit of hills around my neighborhood.
He's telling me he's getting 47 mpg without any special driving technique and with using the heater occasionally
you definitely lose something with the wheels. it's hard to quantify, could be 2-4 mpg. short trips are killers because the engine never fully warms up and the result is a lot of fuel burned for emmisions reasons. there is a sticky under the gen III forums with a survey to help you determine what, if anything you can do to improve your mileage. fill it ou and hopefully we can assist you to get up into the low 40's.
