This will probably not help you. I have a 2011 Prius Two, garage kept with 43,000 miles, mint condition. A Toyota dealer offered me $13,000 trade in on a 2014 Avalon Touring XLE. List price of the Avalon was $38,000. I thought I was getting robbed so I did not trade. I'll continue driving my Prius.

In looking at both of them, both have pros and cons. The grey one appears to be the better deal. You say the black one doesn't have Nav? It has the button on the steering wheel for it?? Can someone chime in and tell me if thats normal to not have Nav but have the "Map" button on the steering wheel? I've only owned a base and a fully loaded Prius.

I think you'd be happy with either one.

Usnavy: agreed I would be happy with either. My boss (the wife) asked me to find one with lower miles (under 60,000), which will be a little more difficult. I found a couple in Chicago but I'm taking her to test drive cars this weekend. All higher mileage but I want her to get a feel for them as well.

My experience says the difference between 60k and 100k on a Prius is very little. I know that might be hard to believe but, its true. I've looked at low mileage and high mileage cars (around 60 and 100k) and found very little difference. Now when you start getting above 150k, that's when I starting noticing more wear.

I agree with you 100%. I've never had a car under 100,000.00. Having my 89 SAAB turbo convertible in high school with 350,000 + was great. My wife experienced the complete opposite, never had a car over 100,000 miles.

The black car at least has the fog lights, nav, leather, and the correct wheels. Compare these photos to the stock photos of the silver non-Touring car. You can easily see the difference in the wheels. Compare the side views: black photos 5 &9 to silver photo 3. Does the black spoiler look bigger to you?

It's either a regular package 6 with 16" wheels or a Touring 6. Find the market value for both & look for the photos of the different suspensions (the color bands are different). The attached file shows a Touring. Ask the dealer to prove it is a Touring. You might want to walk into the Parts Dept. first and ask them how to tell the difference (bring the VIN).

FWIW - I bought an '07 Touring package 3 in October with 112K for $10K. Dealer ahd put new brakes on it and new tires. Per my research, that was a good deal, a bit under book prices. That grey one you posted is a Touring, at least based on the wheels. It seems like a good deal considering the slightly lower mileage and having leather and nav.

Oh, and mine does not have leather or nav, but it does have a map button on the wheel.

Mine's been nearly flawless for 11K miles. Only things I've had to do was replace a tire (pothole, not the Prius' fault) and the 12v battery.

Well, "ChuggyPig" doesn't have leather or nav. but it has all the rest, and I'm delighted (so far!)

    Update:

After having many test drives this weekend we purchased a ct200h. I liked the 07 Prius Touring but my wife liked driving the ct more...so we went with that.

Maybe it was just me but i noticed a large difference between an 07 Touring and a 2011 Prius. Newer Prius had some rattles and didn't seem very "solid" (not sure how to describe it). Once again that might have just been me on a 20 minute test drive.

Enjoy it, remember what they say about the shiny side up...

    Congrats Donner!
