After driving a GenIII Prius for a year I find myself trying to identify the various hatchback models during my commute. But noticed there are very few design cues at the rear of the cars which help ID the various versions. The Plug-ins silver trim is easily noticed, but whether it is a Basic or Advanced, I see no difference from the rear. The same goes for a Two, Three or Four. The model Five has 17" wheels, and the Persona's have a label on the hatch. Anyone have an easy way to tell which model it is from behind?
Dont forget the tail lights. There 10-11 have different tails (circa gen2 ) than the 12+ ones. (splash wave). Even the plugins have a clear splash instead of the red lines.
