Has anyone received a CA Green HOV Sticker yet?

It only shows up when you move the stickers under light, so that it reflects the light. Might be hard to see once they are on the car, but I have two I haven't put on the car. What number are your ones from 2012?

 

So, we are back to rushing plates after sale. I can usually get them in 2-3 days now... fastest we've been able to. I do the DMV docs for you, address the envelope for you, and leave just the plate # blank. Once I have a plate # (in 2 or 3 days, sometimes longer if there are circumstances such as outside financing, or down payment issues...) but 99% of my clients so have a plate # accessible by me in a matter of a few days' time.
If you're my buyer, you're clearly OK and in good hands. Most of my cars already have HOV stickers already anyway, but with 200+ PlugIns, I still have some without HOVs inbound.

 

Did you mean 2 or 3 days? Not 203 days?

Lol, I know exactly what you mean but my 2012 stickers do not have them at all. It's just like a matte green color no matter the angle or lighting etc. The newer stickers clearly have the "hologram" effect (no angle or lighting needed, its clearly visible) and if you look at a certain angle it has "Void" written on it too. My 2012 sticker has none of that. #EH06XXX

 

The DMV is processing HOV sticker applications from February 18. They are at least a month behind as of 3/20.

 

I don't think DMV gave you the correct info. If you go back a page, people already received their stickers for their March applications.

 

Two DMV agents just told me that if your check is cashed, that means your sticker has been allocated.

Anyone know if this is accurate?

I've heard different and sometimes inaccurate things from DMV at times, so I will try them again after my check clears.

DEALERSHIPS already have given out stickers from March deals. Or cars sold in March.
No one consumer who's bought a car in the month of March and mailed in for their HOV stickers thru their own mail sending in a single request form with a plate # for an HOV sticker has gotten a green sticker. The fact that they are a month behind isn't a surprise. As a dealer, we got them faster. All we needed to provide was a VIN# and we could do 10 at a time.
The form the consumer has to do needs verification of registration, a plate # and loads more work for the DMV folks... hence why it was easier for them to just offer the dealers a chance to batch-process things.

I think, tho, that he bought in Feb to have a plate # in early March. I'm kinda right.

I didn't know about green stickers until 2/27/14 when I was at the dealership buying a 2014 Tundra. After finalizing the transaction I asked the salesman "what's the big deal with those plug-ins any way if they only get 15mi on electric?". That's when I got an education on stickers and rebates.

Being a weekly super commuter from Auburn to Silicon Valley I found myself calculating time savings via HOV lane access. Using information from this forum and confirming on DMV, ARB, IRS sites I was unable to resist.

I bought a blizzard advanced plug-in from Roseville Toyota on 3/4/14. Jeanine in finance was awesome and expedited my plates through their DMV team. They managed to get the plate #'s and submitted my DMV green sticker form by mail on 3/7/14. I called DMV earlier this week on both Monday&Tues and was told by the different clerks that they were still opening mail apps from week of 2/20/14. Clerks directed me to ARB site for sticker counts issued.

Today 3/21/14 I see DMV just cashed my $8 check. I hope this is a good sign!

No sticker in hand yet...but if the posts on this forum about checks being cashed by DMV hold true, I will be selling my 2012 BMW and start commuting in the HOV Prius Lane.

 

You will be fine. All indications are that the check is cashed only when DMV processes your application. The stickers should be put in the mail today, and you can expect the stickers in a few more days. Let us know the number!

 

Just called DMV (20min hold time), agent confirm application processed 3/19 #37,51X

 

I bought mine from Diane, so the tags were already with the car
