I can't seem to find a search function so I'll ask the question. Has anyone installed a trailer hitch? I want to get a small trailer to haul a motor scooter (under 300 lbs). I suppose there may be warranty issues, but outside of that any drawbacks, problems?
Yeah, they hide that search function pretty well. Its in the light blue area at the top of the page in a white box on the right that says "Search." Here are the results I get: Search Results for Query: trailer hitch | PriusChat
I still can't find the search function in spite of being told where it is. I'm using an iPad and maybe that's the problem. But I was able to use your search results to get me there. Thanks for the help.
Just use Google search with priuschat.com as one of the search parameters. It works better than the site's search. SCH-I535

Got mine off ebay. The install with my neighbor helping was easy. It will be harder with out a helper to hold it up.
A friend recently bought the 2" one from ecohitch for his new 2013 liftback. It sounds like it was a little tricky, but he was able to borrow a torque wrench and install it himself. Result looks pretty nice.
Anyone else smash their shin on the trailer hitch? I've done it a couple of times while accessing my trunk.
My curt hitch sticks out about an inch past the bottom of the bumper. But since the bumper is curved out, the center of it keeps my leg from hitting the hitch.
