I have a new 2013 Prius C2 I bought a couple of weeks ago. I really love it but have one annoyance. I listen to a lot of am talk and it works fine. Problem is when I start my car it automatically switches over to FM. Not a big problem but wondering if anyone else has had that problem. Thanks in advance.
My 2009 Gen II seems to remember what it was tuned to when it was switched off, and continues from there, even if it's part way through a CD track; same goes for the climate controls.
my stock radio in my C1 never had that problem. always remembered what mode i was using last and same station. also ipod music played from where it left off
It's like it loses memory but that is the only thing that changes. I just bought a radio from a 2013 Highlander I will put in this week. I will see how that works. Got it for $200.00 which I think is a pretty good price. It's totally insane how dealers price things. It has a retail for $2700.00 and it's just the touchscreen radio, not the gps. Crazy
Well I am happy to report I got my Highlander radio and installed it in 15 minutes. It absolutely is the best upgrade. I wanted navigation but don't like the way any of the aftermarket nav units look. This think is beautiful. I think I am going to add navigation to it. I found a place that sells the Rostra addon for about 750.00. It's a lot of money but to retain the looks it's well worth it to me. Thanks to all who recommended this mod to me.
I added a backup camera to my Tundra. It was so simple as they are pre-wired for the camera. Have a feeling a Prius will be much harder.
