Dead 2009 Prius 12 volt battery followup question

    The mileage will reset itself if you disconnect the battery. How many miles did you drive to average 20s? I make take a little longer to get your average up.

    Oh I didn't disconnect the battery. Just basing it on when it resets when fill the gas up.I
    've been less than 130 miles since refilled .Battery still shows 12.0v/ig on 11.5-7/lights on 11.1.
    I don't mind waiting and will try to take it on a road trip soon. just don't want to hurt the car somehow. It will cost $245 to get a new battery and I can afford it. Just wondering f I should do it now or just keep going as is.

    I can't image the voltage drop would cause that big of a mpg difference. When you fill up, see how many gallons you can get in and then divide by your mileage. It'll probably surprise you that you aren't that far off 40 mpg

    I'm as confused as was from the first post,charging it every other day?Car starts and runs ok,but mileage in the 20's?new battery 245$ ?
