I've found my car sits at 7/8 bars much more often than it ever did previously. It also barely uses the regen to the same extent.

I'm guessing they've reduced regen and get the car to top off the battery during driving. Perhaps it's more gen2 now in the way it works?

Economy seems slightly up, but then the weather is getting warmer so hard to tell.

Got mine done today. Scheduled it with my 6 month service and also some squeaks in the console that needed to be tracked down. Don't know how long they took as I left the car the whole day.

Noticed no change in the operation. My dealer did say that they've had a number of 2013 Prius with a similar squeak - from the center console. Turns out two plastic parts touch under the gear shift lever - a little friction tape stops that.

Still trying to get them to track down an intermittent buzz from the hybrid battery cooling fan under the vent in the rear right passenger's seat.

I think most of us didn't notice the difference the first day. I never got a letter or even an e-mail notification that my car was under the recall. I saw it on my online account. It took about an hour for the update along with an oil change to be completed. There is a definitely loss of power, the brakes feel different, and I don't know if it is related, but my dome lights wouldn't shut off a couple days ago. So, I had to shut the switch off. I have no idea if the update is related, but it does seem a bit odd. I haven't driven the car since, so I have no idea if the problem would occur again.

You would think any update that Toyota did would have a goal to improve things, not decrease mpg.

I'm thinking the contrary, coupled with déjà vu from the last Honda Civic Hybrid (gen II) software update.

Any software change tailored to reduce stress on the hybrid system is very likely going to reduce the use of that system, make the car rely more on the conventional components. And that's going to reduce mpg.

I have detected absolutely no difference after the update. Mileage still ranges from 56-62 depending on ambient temperature.

reported 4 days after done with the recall:
Car behavior is changing a bit on regen during braking, acceleration and gliding :D
overall I got better 3-4 mpg during my daily commute (traffic, Highways/Interstate/Locals)
    * during regen, hybrid is not charging constantly as used to be, It use Pulse recharging and more conventional brake at low mph (could be...10-15mph, not sure). oops brake pad life would be less than used to be.
    * I always use normal mode ( once for a while using power mode. Eco Mode is just a gimmick for me :p). Acceleration has some more (electric)power and flat after that. to play with this, I have to push the gas pedal more on a certain time, release, and glide a bit, than repeat again.

some people do not like the update, but I do not mind since getting better millage. But pain in the nice person, Need to change my driving habit again.

It is odd that there is such a drastic difference in reported performance and mpg impact after this update. I wonder how much is truly a difference as a result of the recall update and how much is just a psychological difference in our heads since Prius drivers are typically a little psycho when it comes to our cars..

After more driving I agree with that.

I haven't noticed any performance or overall mpg difference though.

I have never seen mine a 7/8 until the update, Central Florida terrain for a reference. The bars seem to function differently but I see no I'll effect.

I don't mind at all being called out, it would be nice if this is win/win. Still wonder though.

Got my notice today. Will have to schedule an appointment. Already the car has less power and sputters and misses.

You may laugh but I've noticed the car utilises the engine more. It's hard to explain but I wonder if the electric side took up more of the slack that it had previously been given credit for. Accelerating to over take is probably almost as fast but it is much noisier than it was as the engine seems to work harder and presumable the electric motor works less.

I guess it depends on how well you 'know' your car or indeed how bothered or how much notice you take of the little things. If I hadn't have spent 10 hours a day in mine I doubt I would have noticed.

I think the mileage is the same after the recall. The only reason I don't seem to be getting quite the same is the pedal seems a bit more sensitve. So, I am having to get used to being lighter on the pedal than before. I think this will happen soon.

    ^%$#@!@!
    They got Goofy.

Replaced it with "Sticky", a 200? white Malibu with 150K miles, VERY grubby interior and too many maladies to list, which is why it's the Hangar Queen.
I never thought I'd ever say this.....but I want my Prius back! :(
