I've purchased the LED 3-in-1 turn signal mirrors from MIT Accessories and was debating whether to hook up the pilot/driving light. Not sure if having the white LED pilot on whenever the parking/headlights are on would look a little tacky though. Having never seen them on the car before (only in pictures), how do they look in person? For those of you not familiar with these mirrors, this is the pilot light (albeit in the house connected to a computer power supply).
I added the LED mirrors. BEST mod, considering cost and results, I've ever done on any car. Functional, and looks like a million bucks. You see the same look on mostly other high dollar cars. Do it. I added the LED arrows to complete the mod and look.
-1- Don, I rather like your mirror setup. I think its great. Is there step by step install somewhere here and a best vendor?
Thanks for the replies all, looks like the general consensus is to hook them up. In response to 32kcolors, according to a member here from Europe, the OEM signal mirrors are turn signal only, without the pilot light.
You're probably right. OEM signal mirrors have two functions as opposed to three but I couldn't remember whether they're turn signal and puddle light or turn signal and driving light. Either way, if you stick with the stock look, it isn't considered tacky. It becomes tacky if you go overboard with LED arrows, underbody lights, etc.
wow, i think they look fabulous. this is the one mod i would consider if i thought i could accomplish it. is it a complete replacement?
32kcolors, that's really true. Just need to keep from going overboard with lights In response to mrbigh's first question, the color is matched and spot on. I guess it's a hit or miss as quite a few people on here have mentioned the 070 Blizzard Pearl is off by a little.
