Ten years ago today, I drove from the San Fernando Valley to Carson to pick up my 2004 Prius from Dianne Whitmire. It was a joyful day. I had put the car on order in November. I have not regretted the decision to buy the Prius once. It is by far the best car I have ever had. I just over 102,000 miles on the car. I plan on driving it as long as I can. It will be interesting to see how long the 2004s last.

Congrats! I was wondering how many of the original people here that bought 04's are still around and if they still had they're 04.

A nice "milestone" in car ownership....Any service issues you can share..??; our '12 v is our go-to-transportation and am debating the factory extended warranty before we have 36k...

Congrats on the anniversary. I've yet to keep a car longer than 3 years but I 'hope' to keep my 13 v longer. The problems is something new is always coming out that 'justifies' why I need a new car. But I got off the lease train with the v, and I'll keep reminding myself every month that I don't have to make that payment! My goal is to go at least 6 years or 150k miles.

Nice! My goal is 200K or the car falls apart on the inside, whichever comes first. Got 12 years out of my Corollas so I am feeling optimistic.

My 2004 is still in service as a second car. She has 210,000 miles and the original HV pack. Just normal maintenance! Amazing car.

Congrats man! My 04 is almost 10 as well. My grandfather bought it in April of 2004 and it was handed down to us in 2008 with 45k. Became my car at 80k and I am now at 135k. What kind of MPG are you getting? Right now I am averaging only about 38 mpg but I do a lot of city driving and it's been a very cold winter. I usually get 42-45 in the warmer months

Congratulations! My friend got his 2004 in October of 2003 and he is still driving it, with over 250,000 miles right now. They built em' great even back then! I still remember him visiting me right after getting it at the dealership and how amazed I was with all the technology it had in it for a car with its price for that time.
