Does anyone know if U94 (12.1 on gen 6) updates the Blutooth, radio or anything else? I know the update from 9.1 to 10.1 fixed some Bluetooth issues. I'm currently going to go from 10.1 to 12.1 and hoping the Bluetooth will get even better with this update.
I think that you need the firmware updated. I did a search and I couldn't find the thread. Some paid and some got it for free but the dealer has to do it. I know that if fixed the auto play issue but I am not sure what else. I am pretty sure that the firmware (entune) and the navigation (maps) are different.
Ask your dealer for the update file that lists all of the updates which should include anything in addition to map updates. My dealer's parts department sent me the file via email for the 11.1 update.
Quick question... I believe the 2014 13.1 update is out but wasn't released for the Prius...very hard to track down any info around this. Is 12.1 still the latest and greatest?

I'm curious about the above as well. Just purchased a 2010 IV with USB in the console. Did they make a 2010 NAV without the USB? What update is available for those of us with USB?
When you say in the console do you mean in the center between the seats console? Regardless, yes they made a 2010 without any USB in the first few months of production.
I have updated my Nav many times and didn't realize there was a USB and non USB version. I can't imagine them making two versions when they only had the non USB Prius in production for a few months.
I bought the 13.1 update DVD from eBay for $14.95. It said non usb and I have a USB port in the center console, but the update works just fine. I don't see what having a USB port has to do with a DVD update.
The newer models with hard drives don't have the DVD. They require updates to be loaded via the USB port. SCH-I545 ?
Your USB port has nothing to do with the DVD update. It is for Aux audio input for songs stored on USB memory stick. As stated above, the 2012+ cars with Entune use the USB for updates. That is the reason for mentioning whether the udpates are USB or not.
