My driver side mirror broke recently and I'm trying to replace it. Unfortunately I have a Salsa Red Pearl colored Prius and the dealer quoted me$325.00 for the same color mirror. I can get the same thing on Ebay for $40-$50 except the mirror cover is black. So I got the color code (3Q3) from the dealer and tried finding spray paint can for that color. So far I've had no luck. Any suggestion on where to look/where to go?
Easy fix. Buy the $50 eBay Mirror and one can of $2.99 WalMart Krylon flat black paint. Paint both mirrors and call it a 'mod'. Next..... On a more serious note? I think if my above solution does not sound reasonable???? I'd just give the body shop three hundred dollar bills and ask if they'll take that. Good Luck!
This Rustoleum stuff is better; It can be had at WalMart for less than $6. Rustoleum Brands is actually owned, now, by 3M, which has a lot more experience with auto paint than Krylon.
