The car is a 2012 Silver Base model with 26K miles, leather seats and tinted windows (we aren't big on options and we both love the car) We are first time Prius buyers fyi The edmunds tmv is 18,5 and we are getting it for 19k out the door. A mechanic says it's in great shape, is there anything I'm missing or overlooking?
On 1/31/14 I purchased a certified 2012 Black Prius Two with 13,800 miles for $18,615 out the door (excluding sales tax per state regulations). I think mine was a pretty great deal. I flew to Cleveland to get it and I understand cars sell more slowly there in the winter. I question whether yours is truly a "base" model b/c the base doesn't come with leather. You may want to determine the trim level (one, two, three...) before making any final decisions about the price.
