    Since the footwell illumination is always on, why would you want a color that interfered with night vision?

    Many pcb-mounted LED replacements for festoon lamps include a spring-adjustable length festoon adapter and pigtail that attached to the pcb. That way, they are universal fit for 23mm -> 31mm festoon lamps.
