    I'm using a Droid Bionic with 4.1.2 and an OBDLink MX Bluetooth Scan Tool, and see no new problems after the Torque update. I would try the Torque forums to see if recent Torque changes might require a higher-quality adapter. They've always warned against problems with generic ELM adapters -- the ones that sell for $10-15 on eBay, etc.

    I did not know this important requirement.
    It is probably the cause; not use of appropriate adapters, that were very cheap when I bought them.

    after upgrading to a later version of Torque Pro (1.8.22) but did not change the situation.

    Today I began to to think about the configuration strings of the PIDs of the HV Temp 1 - 2 - 3 and trying to change the values ​​expressed in Fahrenheit.....
    ...I must say that the PIDs work but with the wrong values​​.

    The values ​​of the strings are in Fahrenheit and the program converts it to Celsius, then the hypotheses are:
    or values ​​in the string are incorrect or the program converts them wrong!

    So much so that the strings corresponding to the temperature of the PIDS HV battery in 2 file (metric and U.S.) are equal strangely identical

    After yesterday's update of the Torque Pro (1.8.24) everything is working again regularly!

    Then there were the PIDs it the adapter but the program!

    All values ​​are given without errors

    S3 Galaxy in bluetooth, my phone gets hot and discharges faster than it can charge, so when plugged into the charger in my car it works fine but the battery goes dead. Anybody else have that issue?

    Also, I also have another issue in that I can't find .torque/extendedpids or get it recognized when I put it in either the phone or the card.

    I was just reading on another thread of an IPad application called "Engine Link HD" for $7.49 which now supports a Torque custom PID file. Just need a OBd2 WIFI adaptor. Has anyone tried this and got it working for Gen2 Prius. In theory it should work. On a big IPad screen it would look awesome.
    Until now I thought Bluetooth with an Android was the only option.

    Please add these genII hv blower control codes to your pid list.
    Codesdes tested on torque app 1.8.22 should be good for all versions.

    Note prius hv cooling fan is variable speed.
    Hv cooling fan gets one extra volt of electricity per 10 mph road speed increase (approximate).
    Setting cooling fan speed via scanguage or torque app puts a fixed non-variable voltage on the blower motor.

    A scan/torq setting of 3 provides excellant battery cooling up to a road speed of approximately 45 mph.
    This setting of 3 inhibbits the fan speed at road speeds above 45mph.
    Better said normal prius fan cooling control (variable speed) runs blower faster at 45mph than the scan/torq setting of 3.

    But normal prius fan control tries to run hv blower (stealth mode unheard by driver) just below road noise and undetectable.

    Thus batteries get cooled best at hiway speeds under normal prius variable blower control.
    Or cooled very well with scan/torq setting 4 (fixed voltage) up to road speeds around 60 mph.

    Note there is no blower code for fan off (speed 0). I found speed 0 causes fan control relay to cycle off and on while scrolling through pid list ( when add new gauge) . Fan speed 0 should also be removed from genIII list. As is causes unnessary wear and tear on blower control relay.

    I use both, and yes it works fine, once I get it started. For some reason I always need to force close the app once and pull/reinsert my elm327 to get it to work, but once it does it stays connected. Torque is still a much better option, so I ended up buying a Hisense Sero 7 Pro just for that. Torque lets you adjust ranges for dials and graphs and just has a better "fit and finish" and a better community to get help. but engine link definitely does the job.

    Excellent find! I'll add these into my personal file tonight and test them out. Anything to help better cool the pack is great. I figured pack temp was the deciding factor in fan speed.

    I was also using hisense-pro it worked very well. I decided I wanted a cheaper tablet in the prius I purchased the monster 7 tablet online from walmart for 79.95 its has blue tooth, dual core processor,
    Large battery . The walmart reviews are good. The reviews say monster 7 locked before updating software. I didn't update the monster 7 software and I haven't had any lockups. But I disable most google apps when I dont need them (playstore, playservices,servicesframework,googlemoveis,google-everything-else ) .

    Anyway monster 7 inch tablet has been working perfect for me 3 weeks now. Its screen doesn't dim as much as the hi-sense. And the monster pulls a minimum of .327 amps compared to hisense pulls .242amps(reported by cooltools app).
    However monster pulls .700 amps running torque app where hisense pulls about .580 amps.

    Both monster and hisence have 4000 mah batteries.

    One other good thing about the monster 7 tablet it has built in gps.
    One of the bad things is the monster tablet is sold by monster cables via walmart online.

    I never thought monster cables was i good investment.

    An extra volt or an extra amp? I would think the fan would operate at a fixed voltage with a variable number of amps to control the fan speed. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Would you thus recommend using setting 3 for city and setting 4 for highway driving?

    Also, I'm assuming that the setting will revert back to the normal (speed based) variable control after a power off?

    I noticed that if I slide from the screen that the speed setting level is placed on, the fan speed reverts to normal control within a few seconds.

    Where did you get this information?

    My observation is that fan speed is controlled by battery temperature and has nothing to do with speed.
