Entune 3.1 Update Link *DIY No Dealer*

Thanks for the reply. I do not have a prius c. I have a prius IV with PREMIUM hdd. Thought the update was for the radio for all cars.

 

Not sure if it's for all cars. This one was for the C, but it seems to work in your case, so maybe for all cars.

 

and everyone is sure this is a clean install? No random third party add-ons?

 

I stand corrected. The Prius IV does not have the HDD premium, But the JBL So the upgrade works great.

 

No problems reported here or in the ToyotaNation forum that I know of.

 

Thanks! I think i might still wait to see if i can get the dealership to do it for free when i go in for my 5k maintenance visit. If they won't I already have a thumb drive ready.

Does the Display the same or change in anything with this 3.2.0 update???

 

what U mean by Display the same?
doubt Toyota will nothing with an SW update.

 

What I mean is that visually change anything on the display menus, nav, etc.

Some 2012 – 2014 model year vehicles equipped with a Display Audio Navigation System (Non-HDD) and Entune™ (version less than 3.2.0) may exhibit one or more of the following conditions:
• Roads flash on and off in certain zoom levels (when Entune is in use)
• Discolored bands appear across the screen (when Entune is in use)
• Map area on the screen is black and only buttons are visible (when Entune is in use)
• Navigation freezes (when Entune is in use)
• When Bluetooth is the last audio mode selected in previous ignition cycle, audio source switches back to Bluetooth when another source is selected immediately after the engine starts​

 

I noticed, when I am on the phone, I cannot go back to Map.

I used to be able to do that.

 

Six months my dealer jerked me around; first telling me there is no such update, then telling me it's back ordered, then telling me my Prius C doesn't need it. When I finally showed them the bulletin from Toyota, they said "oh wow, OK this is interesting, let us look into it and we will call you with details." Of course they never called me. I had the earliest version of Entune for the C and had every problem on the list. I installed this update myself and it could not have been easier. After two years of Entune induced headaches, I finally have a functioning system. As for my dealer, they will never see me or my money again.

 

Entune has come a long way. I think the current version is a great improvement from the initial version.

 

I love the way Entune looks now on the 2014 models (3-way split display as example) I hope this version can be incorporate to older entune radios.

I know one thing is the home button and the maps now are in a memory card, but the display can be corporate via firmware, who knows.

 

I updated mine last night and am very happy with the results. Living in San Diego the HD signal was always popping on and off which is really annoying. After the update, it is MUCH improved... not perfect as I still loose the signal heading north to Escondido. FWIW my 2013 had ver 2.2 installed.

Lets hope we get the new UI some time, but not holding my breath.

 

OK. so i updated the car. i was hoping it would fix my bluetooth connection issues, but alas... nada. didnt seem like anything changed w/ the new SW tho.

 

that SW updated does nothing to HD radio, U will need a update to the Display Audio not the Navi box.
