What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

Yessss. Dropped my Prius w/TRD lowering springs after tinting it. Loving it more and more every day!

 

Installed DIY Homelink Garage Opener Buttons on two blank panels. Controls two garage doors. Super easy to do!
Clicker : $35
Momentary Flush Buttons : $4 x 2
Used Wire: Took apart old telephone cord
Tools: Solder, Soldering Pen, Drill, Drill Bits

Do you have any other Toyota dealers you can go to? I had it changed for free and even discussed PC threads on this with the service manager. He said its so quick and easy that they didn't charge. I think it may also be that we rolled it into a routine service where the tech was all over the car anyway. It still beeps once, they couldn't delete it altogether.

If you have to take it in for the recall.. ask them to do it then.. they are already plugged into the OBD plug... my dealer did it for free while they did the re-flash... which they wanted to charge me $50 as well.

 

What % of tint did you have installed? 30? 50?

I want to do that on mine…

I think that is the only thing left for me to do that I would really want…. Driving my C, I get butt hurt that my Gen III doesn't have mirror signals….

I just bought a 2010 with JBL Nav a few weeks ago. Just getting started.

Today I had Mr. K install a Proclip left mount iPhone 5 holder. Ran the audio line to a jack on the dashboard, then onto the center console aux input. The power was just tied in somewhere, as i don't like the usb audio connection. I usually run bluetooth, but the hard line sounds better.

Also Mr. K mounted a Kicker Hideaway 8" powered sub in the storage compartment above the spare tire. He wired it into the JBL amp under the passenger seat. I was surprised at how well it sounds with the stock system. Hopefully this is enough, because otherwise its a $2000 deal to put in some real sound.

Sounds much better, more commanding. Going to see if I can do the same to the 2012 Civic.

I removed the emblem but I didn't use that hole at all. I removed the hood security latch and top bolts/clips for the bumper so I could work from the top. It was still a tight fit and I have little scrapes all over my forearms.
