I'm so excited.. started looking around for auto financing. I have read this form for the past year falling in love with 50 MPG aspect.. even took a test drive in a light snow storm a few weeks back to see how it would handle on the slick roads.. and I'm in love.

I'm currently on Edmonds.. reading about how to get a good deal, and what price I should be shooting for. But I have to say this.. Toyota, you are a cruel bastard sometimes. I went on the website to see the choice in colors they had.. and fell in love with Yellow. Do you think there is a yellow available anywhere in the Midwest.. no, it kind of bums me out.

You are at the best part of the buying process, enjoy! Be sure to get all the toys you want, these cars tend to last a long time

Looks like the Yellow is available in Southern California now, so it's a Regional thing. If you want one, have them bring one in for you. They can do it, and will if they want your sale. Skip the sales guys/gals and talk directly to the Fleet Manager. That will also get you best price without all the games. If you can travel, contact Dianne. She has the highest reputation here. I've been lurking for the past 5 weeks. Purchased a new 2013 C3 three weeks ago now. Just wanted to let you know that there's a Sun Fusion C1 up in Milwaukee. I just think its taking a bit more time for the 2014 models (2013 didn't have Sun Fusion) to start showing up on the lots in the midwest.

Please take this to heart. I purchased a 2012 priusc and I loved the car but this winter in the midwest awoke me to the problem I have been denying. The prius c is not good in the extreme winter conditions we have experienced this year I loved my c but had to get rid of it. The thin tires the traction controll that basically shuts down the cars capability to move and the small size made driving this in bad weather very difficult. If you plan on having an emergency bad weather vehicle I strongly suggest the c as nothing can compare to the mileage you will get but be carefull driving in the winter storms as I have commuted on back roads for years and the c was the first car I had that made me feel uncomfortable about bad weather driving. Loved my C in the summer/spring/ and fall but this winter was the pits.

As soon as you said this.. I started a search in the Milwaukee area.. I can't find the dealer you are talking about.. or they don't have the car online yet. If you remember what dealer it was I would love to know.

Thanks Frodoz737, I have read a few things online about the Fleet Manager. I just can't wrap my head around it, or the articles online don't tell me enough information. I know I can ask for the fleet manager and tell them exactly what I want. then say the car is for business.. but when I start to sign for the car.. won't they need to put the title in the business name? Maybe I'm thinking to much into it. If there are any articles links or advice you can give me I would be so great full! Also I'll be sure to contact Dianne as well. I really appreciate your help.

LOL I don't know about that.. I feel like I'm cramming before finals when I was in college. I know the reward will be well worth it.. but I was never a good negotiator.. I always get way to excited and basically say 'shut up and take my money! :D To tell you the truth, I think I will love this car.. I fell in love with it a few years back and the price was just the icing on the cake. I'm looking forward to not having a key.. but that is also the least favorite part of this car as well. I must admit I feel like I might forget to shut it off if the engine isn't running. I never had a Bluetooth stereo.. so I'm so happy I can sync my phone and play music from my phone. Thanks Munpot42 for the reply!

It would be nice.. but my beat up Chevy Impala is about ready to throw it's own transmission.. so I'm under a slight deadline.. plus one of my co-workers told me they would call me 'sunshine' if i ever purchased a Sunburst Yellow car... not sure what I think about that nickname.. :S But I might do it anyway.. I do love the Sunburst Yellow!!!

Oh No.. Well that's the thing. I work in Radio, and we have to be to work no matter what the weather is like outside. When I took the Prius for a test drive in the snow storm ( 2 or so inches on the ground and little bit of ice under), it's traction was ok.. it handled good giving it was icy and winter. I would like to know more about your experience, for instance what was the point you felt that the prius would start to break down (e.g. pure ice, ice and an inch of snow, 2 inches, etc) Also Just because I know someone else in the forum is going to ask it, did you have snow tires on the Prius C? I do have a backup, and can borrow a spare car from a friend.. a ford exploder, or just stay in town when it's really bad.. I do have a few options.. but this problem as always been in the back of my mind, and I would hate to ditch my new car!

snows would be a must if you absolutely, positively, have to be somewhere at any given time.

I figure.. I guess I will have to figure in snow tires and extra rims when It becomes time to think about it.. luckily I'm buying at the end of winter *knocks on wood* and I won't need to think about it until next season. If anyone out there can recommend.. do I put in the extra money for tire pressure sensors.. or just forget them in the winter time.

This winter has been extreme, and most cars have had a hard time getting around, so I would not discount this car, unless you have the money for a Jeep with snow tires, and extra gas, one must make do with cars that are better left home on days its storming out.

I just bought a 2014 Prius C on Friday. Our dealer had several yellow cars! I was not interested though, I wanted mine in Summer Rain! My best advice is to go in with the price you want (from research on websites like TrueCar, Edmonds...etc) and keep that in the back of your mind at all times. We held firm and as much as I wanted the car, I was willing to walk away. They were great and I actually did not have to do a ton of back and forth with them.

I got the best deal from truecar.com. I would not expect much of a discount on a '14 since they are now just showing up at dealers. Our c has been fine this winter with snow tires on it. I can imagine the stock tires suck in the snow because of the hard compound and tread design.

"Few weeks away from buying" is what I said the day I bought my c. However, it turned out there was a 4 in the color I wanted when I went to the dealer to find out how I could get a blue one.

We got ~7" up here today and I drove mostly on streets that hadn't been cleared yet. No snow tires and no complaints about the C. Only thing I did was make a slight detour to avoid one of the larger steep hills, but I would have done that with any smaller 4 cylinder.
