Does anyone know where to find the information about what type of bulbs are used everywhere in a Prius III 2013? I want to replace some of them by LEDs.
Sylvania.com, click on the applications, automotive, or something like that. Anything specific, ask. FYI, the festoon type of bulb in the dome light is better to be replaced by a panel of LEDs with an adapter, rather than something that physically fits between the contacts in the dome light. Something like this: http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=161153582460 SCH-I535
Or something like this, though this particular one is a bit too long fit exactly and I had to be force-fit it: Festoon 31 mm. My LEDs are listed in these two posts, but many other vendors have similar parts: Door LEDs Interior light left on..caused damage?
If anyone is in the SF Bay Area, I know of 2 places that can replace them for you. This was the route I went when I wanted interior LEDs
Guys, stop posting bulbs. I want to know the type of bulbs used in my Prius. In my Dome I can't use any of the two bulbs posted here. Mine uses a different type. That's why I want to know where and what type is used, so I can by the corresponding LED.
It's on pg 620 of my Owners Manual- probably different page for the regular Prius... Almost any of these will work for the dome light... Amazon.com: wedge led . .
You didn't say what different type yours uses, but everything I posted is installed in my 2012 Prius Three. While the 31mm festoon is not a perfect fit for my dome light, it is close enough that I did get it in, the cover snaps back into place correctly, and it does the job I needed.
Thanks ny_rob, I saw that list but bulb number didn't looked right to me. Now the type are right and your link it's exactly what will work in my dome.
I have the bulbs for my C, I'm not sure how to take the cover off in the Luggage Compartment. I started trying to pop it off with a small screwdriver, and I heard a crack so I STOPPED. Any Photos or Videos would be great! I couldn't find it in the manual, anywhere? I got all the other bulbs replaced, no real problems. cheap plastic, got to be careful.
Don't pull off just the cover. If it is anything like my non-C and our new Subaru, pull out the entire light housing (one end will work, the other end will be obstructed by the cable behind), unplug the cable, then change the bulb from behind.
