I just had an alpine ktp-445u power pack installed along with some kenwood excelon KFC-x173 s in the front and back, I think I will replace these with som jl audio tr650csi . Any way I got the power pack because I wanted to keep the stock head/nav unit in my prius c three. There seems to be a lot of hiss and noise with this setup. is that normal? Also how do you connect the power and the ground for the 445u? Would you connect the power directly from the battery? Mine was taken from the radio power. Could that cause issues?
Not that anyone replied, but I just did an update to entune 3.2 and it seemed to fix this problem. The crackling noise etc was fixed and now it sounds pretty darn good.
I installed one to my Prius One with a Toyota Corolla touch screen radio and is doing the same thing. I don't think there is an update to my radio. Will check with another radio and find out what my problem might be.
