This is definitely not something I am proud of. 103 miles roundtrip commute packs on a lot of miles real quick. Also had two 1000 mile trips to San Diego and I'm going skiing next week for Valentine's Day. I read here someone has a 2013 model with 30k miles so he should overtake me in a few months. iPhone ?
Hmmm. I am at 31000 miles (took delivery Feb 2012); just had the 30K maintenance done. As I recall, the bumper-to-bumper warranty is 3yr/36k, right? Time to dig for ANYTHING that might be covered by that warranty before it goes poof. I bought the extended maintenance contract, but did not buy the extended warranty; the "speak now or forever hold your peace" date for getting the extended warranty is thus coming up.
35,275 miles total (odometer) 11,799 miles EV (displayed per-tank sum) 23,419 miles HV (displayed per-tank sum) Mine still isn't a year old yet. Feb. 29, 2016 is quite a long time from now.
Most impressive! ...but hmm, so CARB thinks it's better for the gas guzzlers to spend extra 300-hrs on the road guzzlin' gas.
Without solo HOV access, I would be the one guzzling gas in regular lanes because I wouldn't have purchased the PiP. So if you look at it that way, CARB doesn't want me to spend an extra 300 hours polluting in traffic. And the 40,000 decal limit prevents too many of us solo Plug-in hybrids from clogging up the HOV lanes from high occupant vehicles. Whether that reduces pollution and/or traffic will probably be debated forever. iPhone ?
2012 picked up Sept 25 2012. Just over 51000. EV percentage around 18-20%. Going from memory. Haven't looked at it in a while.
58,000 miles in 22 months. Very happy with the 2012 Plugin. Btw; 140,000 miles now on our '07 Prius Both completely trouble free
Purchased April 6th, 2013. Pace of total miles has slowed considerably after a commute change, EV miles rapidly increasing 32,065 Total Miles 24,466 HV Miles 7,599 EV Miles
Hit 13,000 EV yesterday - can't come close to those total miles though ! I imagine Markabele may get up there with his new Taxi job interested in how you make out in terms of maintenance down the road
While obviously not on this Prius alone, we've put well over 250,000 miles on the ones we've owned (08 - 90,000+ miles, 2010 - 66,000+ miles, 2011 - 6,500 miles before being totaled, 2013 PiP - 32,065 miles) without a single 'repair' event to date, so I have very little concern regarding this one, should it remain in our possession beyond factory powertrain and hybrid warranty periods. Off topic a bit, but to your point - the maintenance items that come to mind with our Prius' (tires, oil changes, transmission fluid changes, wiper blades, one set of spark plugs.) That being the entirety of the list, I'm riding confidently in chase of Bisco's EV mile mark
I'm confident in the longevity as well but need to see 150k miles as opposed to the vehicles you mentioned... off topic but I'm curious as to the real oil change requirements for the PiP My friend's Volt actually reports how far along the oil is... I'm at 90% EV so wondering if I could safely go beyond that 10,000mi suggestion
I've religiously tracked EV/HV miles per oil change, partly to accurately determine oil change need. Short of the time interval exceeding 12 months, I change at 7,500-9,000 miles of HV use, irregardless of EV miles, with the range impacted by how much towing was included. The two UOA samples came back indicating I could probably push that interval out considerably, but I'm not sure I will.
I'm averaging 2500km a month (about 1500 miles), which is more than I want to put on my PiP, but the thing is so much darn fun to drive!
