Prius v 2012, I need navigation and entune updates

Many thanks for posting this link with its update and instructions. I went ahead and updated my 2012 Prius v (package 3). The update went smooth as silk and fixed what I considered a "useless" add-on to an otherwise perfect Prius experience. My issues were predominantly unstable bluetooth connectivity with an iPhone (iPhone 4 & 5 with iOS's ranging from 5-7) and sudden playing of music (from iPhone) when the audio system was turned on. Because this forced me to use my phone directly, I simply mounted my phone on the dash and never touched the remaining features of the Entune system (i.e. Navigation was always used on the phone along with other duplicated features found in the Entune system).

Of course, I cannot (for the life of me) figure out why Toyota hasn't setup some system where they can more readily distribute these software updates to owners of these vehicles (It's sad that I've had a useless system for the two years that I've owned this vehicle). In another forum, there was some promises about making updates easier.

I just hope they implement this system sooner rather than later.

 

Thanks for posting the link. Got it installed without any problems. I'm not seeing any difference, so far, between the 2.2 and the 3.1 version. Wish there was a list of what was changed. Suppose this was mostly about fixing stability issues.

 

between 2.2 and 3.1 the changes which I am aware of are
- iphone auto play
- BT audio streaming auto play

unstable BT connection maybe a iphone issue too, haven't u seen the Safari crashing? A reset on the iphone many times fixes these issue. With regards to sudden playing of music, it is suppose to be fixed in this SW with some exception. Again its a bug.
We were all force to use the phone due to lock out, Toyota as been following NHTSA recommendation diligently. LOL. All these control may slowly make its way to the phone. Move to Europe and you will find Toyota not locking out on anything.

With the distribution of Software updates, all the OEM makes it hard. very few OEM actually make it easy for us, looks like an automotive industry thing.

Looks like SW 3.2.0 is out, someone posted screen shots

 

I can't find anything on 3.2.0, here or elsewhere. Do you have a link?

 

Search for "Entune 3.1.0 update" on the forums located at toyotanation. On Page 6, you'll see the comments about the new 3.2 update and a link (to a dropbox account) containing the iso and log files. I haven't updated yet, but this forum suggests faster navigation. There's also much discussion there about what was updated and when will Toyota release a service bulletin about this particular update.

Although the link there is to 3.1.0, the thread on the other Toyota forum has now been updated for 3.2.0.

 

Just did 3.1.0 the other day. Worked fine. Search "Entune 3.2.0 update" toyotanation

Download the .iso and .txt files, place on a fat32-formatted USB, renamed 14a, plug in the USB, bring the car to READY and follow instructions.

just found my Navigation is out of date. It shows me navi ID 20110502. Is it any new versions available?
Can update from DVD disk or only from USB from dealer ?
