I heard buying a prius last year you can claim it in your taxes. I am not sure if thats true. I have done a little research and I can only find plug in prius's. I myself bought a 2013 3rd generation prius. Just seeing if it applies or only for plug in. thank you

There was a federal tax credit for regular hybrids, but you are about 6 years too late for it. I cannot address any possible state benefits.

I thought if you had enough deductions, you could claim the sales tax you paid on it? I think I saw that part on turbotax the other day.

Tell us what state you are located?
I am thinking OR and CO had the last hybrid credits, and probably these ended last year.
I am fuzzy on CO, but OR stopped it but one guy got it last year as they still had the forms active (loophole closed now).
