I sacrificed a few characters leading the troll away from the party in D&D. Started using it for email, and figured it likely wouldn't be taken on a forum.

Initials of my first and middle name and the first four letters of my last name. Not much imagination!

My first car was a 1987 Acura Legend sedan with the 2.5L V6. The engine code was C25A1 for US models. Back in high school and college, I was very active in the Legend community and I was doing modifications in such a combination that not many others have done before with a Gen 1 Legend. It's modifications are mild by today's standards, however, back then when there was as close to 0 aftermarket support for the vehicle, I did a lot of custom modifications and fabrication on that car to make it uniquely mine. I was the first to put 18" wheels on a Gen 1 Legend, in-dash DVD player, custom CAI, custom exhaust w/ a Remus muffler, had the heads decked and extrude honed, as well as the primaries on the exhaust manifold, Apex'i S-AFC, PLX wideband for tuning, etc, transmission from a 88 Legend coupe (for the sport mode, I think it also ended up having shorter gears too). Yeah, I threw too much money into such an old vehicle, but it was such a learning experience, I wouldn't have traded it or the money I put into the car for any other automotive experience. I guess you could have called it "1st car love".

When I moved to Michigan from Arizona in 2003, I had my Yahoo screen name to be Michgal007 (007 came from Bond, may be just Michgal was already taken in Yahoo). So I went with it for PriusChat. :)

The Prius comes from the Mikawa region of the Aichi Prefecture in Japan.

But I haven't gone as far as giving my car a name. You can get attached to your car but it's a car for cryin'outloud.

My family's first Prius was purchased and used in Puerto Rico. It was the summer of 2004 and the Prius had just been introduced into the puertorican market. I went on to buy a second Prius in Texas which I kept until my PHEV arrived. We still have the 2004 PR Prius. It has a lot of battle scars due to the way we puertoricans drive.Oddly enough in Puerto Rico it was marketed as a 50 mpg car with a 500 mile range. In the states they marketed the car as a 60mpg car.

Originally my screen name was Delta Flyer - after the modded shuttle on Star Trek: Voyager.

A few of the charter CleanMPG members got really defensive about speeding, even though Wayne made it clear the site was about about echewing speeding...they tried unsuccessfully to kill the site. One of them could not talk to me - effectively just hissing and trolling - that mental....in context: Delta Flyer became "Darth Flyer" so I changed it to my real name that he lacks the civility to address me by.

See avatar - one of the goofiest felines ever. Plus I stand a chance of actually remembering my user name, which is helpful with my current state of diminishing synapses and overall brain fog.

No real story behind my choice of "The Electric Me" , other than I thought it sounded dynamic and tied into the use of "electricity" in the operation of a Hybrid Car.

My choice of Speed Racer as moniker has more of a real story behind it.

If I think back absolutely as far as I can go, way, way back into the childhood, toddler mist's of brain development, I'd say the Mach 5 was the first vehicle I fell in love with. Maybe even planted the seed of Auto's with Gadgets- love, that guided me to Prius.

I vaguely remember watching those primitive cartoons. I remember sitting on living room floors and picking whatever toy car was my favorite to be "The Mach 5" and mimicking the mechanical jumping sound that the Mach 5 made when employing the jumping mode....

Yeah....it lead me to today. When other little kids were playing with Fire Trucks or regular race cars, I loved the car with buttons and gadgets.

If Toyota ever makes a "Mach 5" version of Prius....I'm there.

:)How about arrogance, superiority, conceded? Not hardly. Way back when in the earlier days of the internet, most user names were email addresses or something very long. I got tired of a long user ID. I wanted something simpler and nothing was simpler than 1. Most login names require at least three characters, so I settled on -1-.

Nothing to do with railroads or trains - just my first two initials + "crossing" - It's me, crossing! (Pure genius, I know... :D)

As for the avatar - before Danny upgraded the web site my avatar was my favorite bumper sticker - "WARNING - I Drive Like You". Since the upgrade my bumper sticker shaped avatar wouldn't upload, so I had to change it to a square one. I don't necessarily watch a great deal of TV, but I'm old enough to remember test patterns, so there you go!
