thanks! just made it home. slippery with a few inches and coming down hard. 9 degrees, creep and crawl. kept the cabin toasty warm for my bride. 23 miles, 61mpg.
In another thread, someone had a pin fall out of the plug. I suspect that was due to a bad connection in the receptacle, causing it to overheat, and the solder and the plastic to melt. The receptacle may have seemed fine under lighter and intermittent loads, but hybrid charging is a prolonged, high-current load. Heat can build up, causing damage and even posing a fire risk. Get your wiring checked out by a qualified electrician.
