I always have my car in DRL, and just noticed last night to today that it doesn't turn on immediately when I start the car, however it does seem to turn on a few minutes after the car starts rolling. I'm sure before it turned on immediately with the car. Any ideas? maybe 12v going weak?
If it's anything like my factory DRLs in my Camry, it will be deactivated when the parking brake is engaged or the transmission is in Park. So the delay you are referring to is most likely when you put the car in drive and disengage the parking brake. Could it be possible that you had the headlight selector switch set to lowbeams previously? In that situation, starting the car with the light switch in the lowbeam position will turn on the headlights immediately when the car is put into Ready or Acc Mode. SCH-I535
On my C as soon as the "ready" is on the DRLs turn on, the OP has the C2 not regular liftback like yours. OP, switch problem? Try to turn on and off few times to see if it helps.

aw, I see thank you all for the insights, I think it is the ebrake, lol my bad I just got scared thinking my bulbs burned out or something Last night
So you were driving with eBrake? I have to check it but when the first time driving my sister's Lexus 250 CT I couldn't move the car when the eBrake is not released and the indicator "Brake" is turned on.
1 click shouldn't be able to stop the car, but it will make an audible beep (vs an inaudible beep... long day, sorry) and have the brake light illuminated.
no I wasn't driving with the ebrake. But I was parked on a hill for 1st time in a whil, hence I had my ebrake on and didn't see my drl come on when I started car, so it just sort of surprised me. I did check all my lights to see that they were all working, I just didn't know that ebrake on = no DRL on start up So I guess I'm still learning something new everyday about my C
