I saw some really good deals on new 2006 Priuses in the DC/VA/MD area. According to the website, the internet prices are $1850 below MSRP/ $200 over invoice at Miller Toyota in Manasses, VA. Plus $198 processing fee + Tax + Tag Looking at the internet inventory/prices on their website, they have 19 in stock. No affiliation to the Dealer, just want to pass on the info. Happy hunting!
Hi all- I may decide to jump to a #6, and my car is due within the next couple of days at the dealership. If serious about buying a #4 Seaside at $1100 below MSRP, let me know. I need to make some final decisions before letting this deal go (partly dependent on someone else buying this car so I can get my $500 deposit back) and confirming a contract on a #6.
Yeah. The salesperson is Sarah, and they seem to have great customer service. I spoke w/her, and people are having good experiences.
Looks like the original deal is dead, or the new deal is not good. The new internet price is $1550 below MSRP / $700 above invoice plus tax + tags + 199 processing fee. Package #6 is $24,930.00 + Tax + Tag + PF
The sales person I worked with at Miller Toyota is Sarah Baumgartner (703-396-5026) at Miller Toyota and she was good to work with. I talked with her yesterday and it is my understanding a package #7 would now be about $1,700 under MSRP, with the amount of discount off of MSRP depending on the package #. Not quite as good as the end-of-the-month special, but still better than most dealers.
Package #1 Classic Silver / Gray interior @Port 3/12 MSRP: $23141 Discount Price: $22641 Package #5 Black / Gray interior @Port 3/5 MSRP: $25696 Discount Price: $25196 Package #7 Black / Gray interior @Port 3/16 MSRP: $28221 DiscountPrice: $27721
Whoa! Down to 3 already. Deals like this is very tempting for me. Add on the tax credit and you're in a Package 6 for less than $23k! I'm holding out for a few years before I make a purchase but hopefully deals like this don't stop coming.
The tax incentives might go away but hopefully there will be so many hybrids around later you will be able to get a good deal. Heck I paid MSRP ($26500 for a fully loaded 05) with all those fees and only got the $2000 tax deduction (basically = $550). This year there is a $3500 (or $3000 cannot remember) tax credit so you get $3500 off your taxes. This would mean you would be in a Package 6 for around $21K. I do not foresee the deals getting better than this. The only reason I would wait would be to see what other hybrids are coming out in the next couple of years. I loved the look of Honda's concept hydrogen car. It looked like a stretched prius with 4 glass panels for the roof. Very open, airy, and sleek look. I almost thought about trying to have my Prius roof altered.
The main reason I'm holding out is simply because I do not need another car right now. However, that will surely change and when it does, I'll be in the market for one. My goal is to wait til 2008 or 2009. By then, there will be a very good selection of hybrids out there and hopefully they would have improved on MPG.
