Hey guys, I bought a car a month back and i just realized a few days ago my front emergency flashers/blinkers do not work. The rear flash fine. the blinker alert on the dash was flashing very fast so I assumed I needed a new fuse. I replaced the fuse today and still no luck. I ave a hard time believing maybe both of the front blinkers just burnt out at the same time? Any suggestions? I should also add, its a 2010 prius IV
If the indicator is hyper-flashing than it is one or both of the bulbs. Not the easiest things to replace. You have to go from underneath.
Yeah. You only need to remove enough fasteners so that you can squeeze your hands through the undercover to reach the back of the light assembly. Twist the bulb holder and pull out. Replace bulb and test. Reassemble.
You only need to remove 3 fasteners per side, small, triangular covers directly under each corner. You don't need to remove any fasteners attached in the rear that's connected to the front of the wheel well liners. Just bend the cover down once the 3 fasteners are removed. SCH-I535
Thank you for your help. The bulbs were burnt out and we are officially back in action. Again thank you so much.
