I give up. My Droid razor does not like my Prius. I can only do simple phone calls and only if I don't download the phones directory. Is there a Verizon phone that will will fully work, or at least is more compatible? I have to stay with Verizon as I get a discount AND their coverage is far superior to the other carriers in my area. Any suggestions? I am leaning towards an Iphone 4S running IOS 6 as I have heard there are more issues with IOS 7. Bill
I'm not sure what you are trying to do but my Galaxy S3 works fine with my P3. Phone calls, streaming music, Entune apps, etc. My gripe is not being able to browse music via the nav screen with bluetooth, but I think it is a general Android issue rather than a S3 issue.
I am trying to use ALL of the features offered by Toyota for my hands free calling system and I can hardly call out with my phone let alone do anything else. Toyota says my phone is compatible with many functions, but no it is not. Verizon,Motorola and Toyota each point fingers at each other and give me the "not my problem" answer. All I want to do is be able to call out, check my text messages if possible and perhaps my e-mail while on the road. I am on the road a lot as the car is not yet 6 mos old and is now due for its 15k service.
No problems here with the Galaxy S3 either. Each time it connects it updates contacts, etc. Calling out is simple. Not sure about text messages or checking voicemail messages since I use neither one in the car.
I've got a droid razr maxx which works great. I can't imagine wanting to read emails or text messages while I'm driving. Good luck.
Galaxy S3 here working fine for calls received and placed via Bluetooth. Contacts synced fine, able to program speed dials and place calls via speed dial while vehicle is in motion. SCH-I535 now Free
I guess I forgot to ask what carrier everyone is using. Is verizon working for other smartphone users ?
Are you running the latest OS? I've heard there are Bluetooth problems with some versions of Android.
Stupidly, the best phone that worked with entune was my lousy blackberry on Verizon. It worked tether less with entune. Called and dialed out just fine. Never played Bluetooth music without my permission. It even read my emails to me. Now with a 4s, I need to plug into USB to use entune. It plays BT audio without my permission, occasionally, even helping itself to load Pandora to waste my bandwidth. It says it's not compatible with emails or texts. But... I'm not going back to the crackberry for entune. I'll get the 3.1 update next oil change and see how it fairs. My Nokia Lumia 521 performed the same as my iphone.
